Many laugh at Rock of Ages as a silly period piece, made to appease the older patrons who grew up in the age of White Snake and Led Zeppelin. However, at its core is a group of people on the Sunset Strip trying their best to be like their role models, and finding that their love can morph into many different forms (and for some, like Stacee Jaxx, a lustful plight lost).
